Janice Ann Mills

Janice Ann Mills, 71, of Clearville, PA; passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Altoona Hospital.  She was born August 22, 1954 in Johnstown, PA; a daughter of the late Francis Serenko and Mary E. “Sis” (Swansboro) Young.  She was united in marriage in 1990 to Dewayne “Bill” Mills in Schellsburg, PA. 

Along with her husband, she is survived by son Scott A. Dikum married to Sherry of Breezewood, PA and grandchildren Shandi Brown and Eric Brown; great-grandchildren Audrina and Rylie; siblings are Renae Hunter, Corrinne Richards, Tom Yourich, Frank Serenko and Mark Young and nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Madison Paige Dikum; a sister Mary Stegman and a brother James H. Young.

She worked as a server at Bob Evans Restaurant in Breezewood for twenty seven years.

Janice was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. fan and a Nascar enthusiast. 

Friends and family will be received at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from 4-7 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Hott officiating.

Burial will be held privately at Rock Hill Cemetery.

If friends so desire in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Janice to the Akers Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
